YEAR 1 (10th grade) YEAR 2 (11th grade) YEAR 3 (12th grade)
Week 1-2 -Submission of summer assignment readings
-Oral presentation of readings
-Course intro
-Portfolio assembly
-Lab notebook overview

-Submission of first draft of research paper
-Planning out timeline for completion of applications to required competitions
Week 3-4 -Research methods instruction/ Excel software usage
-Identify a topic for your research
-Start to read popular/ scientific journal articles
-Begin to locate potential mentors
-Statistics instruction as needed

-Firm up research topic
-Prepare and email minimum of 3 mentors by end of first marking period
